Work PLACE Workshop Readiness Checklists
Use these checklists to make sure you're fully prepared to attend and benefit from a Work PLACE entrepreneurship workshop.
On the Day of the Workshop

Allows time for sign-in, finding your seat, and meeting staff or other attendees

For workshop access, Wi-Fi login, or borrowing materials
No library card? No worries no need to have one to attend.

Bring a fully charged phone, tablet, or laptop if you plan to take notes or work digitally

Ask questions, take notes, and join in any hands-on activities
Respect othersβ ideas and time

If you need personalized help after the workshop, staff can schedule a private consultation with you on Mondays or Fridays.
Before the Workshop/ meeting

Work PLACE (Public Literacy Access for Careers & Entrepreneurship) is a free program offered through the El Paso Public Library Literacy Center that helps individuals develop small businesses, learn digital and career skills, and access one-on-one support for economic self-sufficiency.

Any adult (18+) living in the El Paso area who is interested in entrepreneurship, career development, or improving digital and business skills can participate. A valid El Paso Public Library card is recommended but not needed.

No. All workshops, resources, and one-on-one sessions are free of charge.

Support includes business planning, marketing, budgeting, applying for licenses or grants, web design, digital literacy, and more. Participants can also access equipment and tech support.
