Application Checklist

The BBBS Big Futures program is a work-based learning opportunity designed specifically for out-of-school youth ages 16–24. This program provides hands-on experience to help young adults gain valuable skills and explore career paths. Ready to take the next step? Follow these four easy steps to apply today!

    • Complete Volunteer Application

    • Upload Drivers License and Vehicle Liability Insurance

    • Schedule Interview thru Acuity

    • Interview with BBBS staff

    • Complete Orientation/Pre-match Training thru Canva

    • Pass Quiz at the end of Orientation

    • Complete DFPS Central Registry Check

    • Follow-up with References as needed

  • Normally, 2-4 weeks from the time you start an application to when you’re paired with a mentee

  • Young adults from all walks of life, who are looking for support from the community to guide them on their pathway.

  • We ask for a one year commitment, however, you are welcomed to remain paired with your mentee for as long as you are able to.

  • No, they will not affect your ability to apply.

  • Yes, however, after 5 years from the date of the DUI, you can apply to become a mentor.
